What I want my brand to be and why?

It’s the beginning of my second year as a part of the Sports Journalism course at USW, While i learnt a lot in my first year despite it being cut short by coronavirus and facing a few challenges along the way. It’s now time for me to showcase what I want my personal brand to be and why I want it to be that way. Not only this time but I will always be further developing my brand through social media and just in general striving to be a better version of myself day by day.

What are my aims?

Push yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you

Strive to be the best version of myself everyday, go out of my comfort zone and work hard

Sometimes later becomes never, do it now, don’t say i’ll do it tomorrow or another day be a doer not a don’ter

The harder you work for something the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it, wake up with determination then go to bed with satisfaction

Above is my little manifesto and although it’s just a few inspirational quotes you might see as cliche on a gym wall or on a bedroom poster however these quotes have a purpose and meaning to me. I feel like these are the fundamental key words that’ll help me strive to fur fill my potential to the best of my ability.

I haven’t necessarily had to work for lots of things in my life but through experience of my gym goals and football goals and exams I know good things don’t come to people who don’t work for them. The best things in life are the things which require the most work and the main message I want people to see from my manifesto is that i’m ready to work hard.

I plan this year to go out of my comfort zone and be open to learning new skills that will further develop my career as a Sports Journalist. Be as consistent as possible with my work and to complete work to a good standard, most importantly to space out my time as well as possible because this is something I’ve previously struggled with. Regularly producing content and doing my best to get it out to as many people as possible.

Doing all the things listed above will no doubt help to the promotion of my brand and allow me to become a good a Journalist as I possibly can be.
